Lana Del Rey & Adam Lambert Made My World Stop!

* I was having a normal day until I came across news of a few surprises from two of my favorite artists, the talented Lana Del Rey and the true meaning of perfection, Adam Lambert! Enjoy!

I posted an update on the beautiful Lana Del Rey a couple of days ago, even included her track, "Blue Jeans", as my 4th favorite song of 2011. Her brand new song, "Born 2 Die", made its way across the web and her record label, Interscope, officially announced January 31st as the release date for the indie queen's debut album.
Well today my heart stopped when the music video for the amazing track got leaked. I must say that Lana Del Rey is the only artist out there right now that can give Lady Gaga competition when it comes to the area of music videos. This piece was just flawless, including scenes of tigers, blood and sex. I am already in. Plus, it doesn't help that I have watched it ten times since its premiere.
The more and more I listen to Lana the more I develop a deeper liking towards her. She is crafted what music should really be. Her voice is soulful, evident of true talent, and anyone who thinks otherwise has not heard a decent song in quite some time--- no offense. I have stated that the artist has yet to do wrong in my eyes, and with this video release she is staying on the right track.
Right after the video's premature leak, Lana took to her Twitter account to announce that it was not how she wanted the video to come out to her fans, but she hopes everyone enjoys it. She even stated that it is the most beautiful thing she has created to date.... I agree with her!
Take a look at the brand new video for Lana Del Rey's third musical offering. What do you think of this singer who is taking the world by storm? Get ready for a takeover!

Lana Del Rey may be treating her devoted fans to new music now, but fellow Glamberts are still waiting patiently for new material from their beloved Adam Lambert--- count me as one of them. The artist has been teasing his fans for weeks now. He revealed the title of his second studio album, Trespassing, gave an estimated release date of Spring 2012, and even announced the first single off the project, "Better Than I Know Myself".
While I was getting over Del Rey's video, Adam took to his Twitter account in order to tease the Glamberts a little more. The sexy and daring artist revealed the official cover art for his upcoming single and I must say I have never seen Lambert more attractive. I even want the new haircut he is sporting in the image (be sure to take a peek below).
The cover art is a nice gift, but when the hell is the song coming out? I have been waiting for two long years for new material. My copy of For Your Entertainment has not been able to rest. If I have to wait till the spring for the new album then I want the single now. Who else agrees? Anyway, I guess this will keep me happy for a couple days. When the track finally comes out you better believe I am devoting an entire post to it. Until then enjoy the cover art for "Better Than I Know Myself".

*Update: Adam Lambert announced his brand new single will be digitally released on Dec. 20th, so be sure to get your own copy! I know I will be! And a small, 30 second snippet of the song was released by the artist himself. Take a listen. That voice gets me every time!
