This is my new favourite thing!

I love this.

I just came back from a short stay in Riga, Latvia where I fell in love with this company, Lickstarter.

While exploring the House of the Blackheads, I found a really cute crafty/gift shop and believe me, I am a sucker for those. Instead of the normal tatt found in craft shops, I came across thistles made from wool, T-shirt chalkboards and these, cat knickers.

I used to have a lingerie addiction as a younger girl. In my 20's, I spent a small fortune on silks, thongs, lace and more. I worked for Ann Summers for about two years which I think started my addiction. The underwear there was such bad quality that I became obsessed with Italian lingerie which I collected on trips to Venice and Rome.

So back to Lickstarter.

I have fallen out of practise with buying nice underwear for myself. It took me about two days to work out if I wanted to buy them. I always know when I really like an object as I don't buy it but think about it for days mulling it over.

I gave in and bought them!

Each pair is made from a really lovely comfortable material. I was happy to see larger styles and less thongs. Thongs really are the anti christ. I spent one day in Latvia in one and hated it. Big pants all the way!

The underwear also comes with dogs on them incase you are not a cat fan. But lets face it, cats are better when it comes to clothing. They retail for about €21 a pair - pricy but these are a special occasion pants rather then every day!

Liega Zelgalve, founder of Lickstarter is a graduate of Riga School of Arts and Crafts and an experienced textile print expert. All the knickers are sewn by local seamstresses using cruelty free fabrics.
