You can buy these masks individually too (there is also a new Cinderella mask that I feel like I'm going to have to try as well!)
Most of you may know by now that when I grow up, I want to be a Disney princess when I grow up! But really, I love Disney and I love the princesses, so I couldn't resist trying these masks!
Each princess comes with a different flavour - Aurora is a lavender mask, Ariel is a cucumber mask, Jasmine is a green tea mask, and Belle is a rose mask.
Mad Beauty Disney Princess Face Mask Collection ~ £13.99/$23.95 CAN. The Princesses are some of the most iconic & inspirational characters from the Disney stable. Mad Beauty are proud to release their latest range. This range of Face masks features one each with different soothing & calming properties with images of Jasmine, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella & Ariel.
This comes in a little storybook of masks and it's the cutest packaging!
It starts with opening it up to this cute little Disney themed story about how the Mad Beauty designers went on a quest to hydrate, refresh, revitalize and calm a princesses skin and all the ingredients for the masks are listed.
Each mask is named appropriately for each coordinating princess - True Love's Kiss, Jewel of the Sea, A Whole New World and Enchanted Rose! I really couldn't wait to dig in and see how each princess looked!
Ariel ~ Jewel of the Sea - Infused with cucumber to cool, moisturise & hydrate
"Up where the walk, up where they run, up where they stay all day in the sun, wandering free, wish I could be part of that world"
Just like the Villains masks, these masks all have the same instructions for wear - wash face, apply mask, wear for 10-12 minutes, remove mask and rinse off remaining essence.
I think it's a bit strange to rinse off the essence after, unless it's something that's cleansing or an ingredient that should be left on too long. These are all moisturizing masks, so I don't think it's necessary; but, I also wouldn't tell you not to follow the directions.
All of the princess masks actually come with an extra lip piece so it covers your whole lips and eye flaps to cover your eyes.
How amazing does this Ariel mask look on?! This mask actually fits way better than I was expecting - the Villains ones were as big as two of my faces.
This wore well for about 20-30 minutes and had a good amount of essence; but, the lip piece was super tingly and I could not wear it. The rest of the mask was comfortable to wear and after I removed this, my skin was tacky for about 20 minutes. My skin did look good after though and was hydrated the next morning.
Belle ~ Enchanted Rose - rose water which is calming for healthy glowing skin
"Tale as old as time, true as it can be, barely even friends, then somebody bends, unexpectedly..."
This mask is meant to be worn as the other face masks in the set - I actually had a friend wear this mask!
Aurora ~ True Love's Kiss - lavender which is relaxing & calming
"I know you I walked with you once upon a dream, I know you, that look in your eyes is so familiar a gleam, and I know it's true that visions are seldom all they seem, but if I know you, I know what you'll do, you'll love me at once, the way you did once upon a dream"
I have to say Aurora is my favorite Disney Priness - I have Aurora shoes and I walked down the aisle to Once Upon A Dream being played on the violin.
I couldn't believe how much less colour the Belle and Aurora masks had in comparison to the Ariel mask - why no hair colour on these?! And, the fit is a little bigger; but, overall I found the results similar to Ariel - my face was tacky for 20 minutes; but, my skin why hydrated and refreshed.
I found the lip piece again tingly and uncomfortable again so I couldn't wear it. But, my friend didn't feel that way, so I think maybe my lips are just a little sensitive.
Jasmine ~ A Whole New World - antioxidant green tea to replenish & revitalise
"I can open your eyes take you wonder by wonder, over sideways and under on a magic carpet ride, a whole new world, a new fantastic point of view"
This one too - where is all the colour on this mask?! I was expecting the hair; but, also the shadows under the "chin" made it look like chin hairs. Again the results were just fine - my skin looked good and hydrated after.
So, these masks were so much fun - I thought Ariel looked amazing and I wore it first, so it was a little sad when the other masks didn't quite match up to the colours of the first one! Beyond leaving my skin a bit more moisturized, they didn't offer many other benefits. So, these weren't the most outstanding masks I've ever worn; but, they provided some good skincaretainment and I'm not dissapointed in my purchase. They were fun!
I thought these were super fun! What do you think of these masks? Would you try them?
