This last year I've had something of a revelation. I used to be driven by money and power, hence my chosen career in Investment Banking, however I've had a bit of an epiphany and decided to pursue happiness over status.
I want to experience life, see the world and have adventures. I've been trying to live more and more this last year, and hopefully you've enjoyed all of my adventures on my blog.
Sometimes I'm a little crazy and just do things, however I think this time, this takes the (dog) biscuit.
I am off in January to the Arctic Circle in Sweden to sledge with huskies for 5 days across the lowlands and mountains in -20c
I'll be flying on the 29th January to Kiruna, the northernmost town in Sweden in the provenance of Lapland! Then I'll be designated a team of 4 dogs to sledge with for the trip, where I'll be trekking across snow and ice, lowlands, mountains whilst cooking on campfires and building and sleeping in an igloo.
Temperatures will be around -20c and conditions harsh, I'll have no running water or electricity for 5 days. Yet it will be unbelievable. This is a once in a lifetime trip and will blow my mind.
However, I am doing this for an amazing cause. I am raising money for the Spinal Injuries Association. The charity is so important, supporting people and their families affected by spinal injuries, helping them rebuild their lives.
I need to raise £2500, so I would be so incredibly grateful if you could sponsor me, however little it may be, I will be so thankful to you.
It really will change the lives of so many people who have gone through so much.
I'll be setting up some charity fundraising events soon, so watch this space, however in the mean time, you can sponsor me on my Virgin Money Giving Page
Thank you x
